Dura Fence steel fence cost in Tampa

Dura Fence is powder-coated steel — it gives you the same clean ornamental look as aluminum, with more strength and a lower cost per foot. For most inland Tampa properties it's the better value of the two.

Stronger than aluminum, and cheaper

Steel is a denser, stiffer material, so a steel panel takes an impact that would bend aluminum. It's also the lowest per-foot price of any ornamental option we install. If you want the wrought-iron look on a budget, this is the one.

The coating is what matters

Steel's one weakness is corrosion, and the entire answer is the powder coating — baked on, sealing the metal from moisture. Intact, it holds up well across Tampa Bay. The place to think twice is directly on the coast: constant salt spray is harder on coated steel than on aluminum, and if you're right on the water, aluminum is the safer specification even at the higher price.

Where it fits best

Front yards, boundary and garden fencing, security applications, and pool enclosures where code allows. It takes the same flat-top and spear-top styling as aluminum, so visually you're not giving anything up.

Honest tradeoffs

It's heavier to work with, and a deep scratch that reaches bare metal needs touching up rather than ignoring — on aluminum you could leave it. No privacy, same as aluminum. And if your property is oceanfront or bayfront, we'll usually steer you to aluminum instead, even though it costs us the cheaper sale.

Common questions

What is Dura Fence?

It's the powder-coated steel ornamental fence line we install — the same visual style as aluminum ornamental fencing, built in steel for greater strength and a lower cost per foot.

Will steel fence rust in Florida?

Not while the powder coating is intact — that coating is what keeps moisture off the metal. Deep scratches should be touched up. Directly on saltwater, aluminum is the more durable choice.

Is steel or aluminum better for a pool fence?

Both can be built to Florida pool code. Steel costs less and is stronger; aluminum is completely immune to rust and is the better call for coastal properties. We'll tell you honestly which one fits your site.
